📝 Editor’s Note
At this stage of life — mid-30s, multiple kids, focused on career, I find it hard to see friends in town regularly. To do so requires a lot of planning. Maybe it feels that way because it is in stark contrast to college and my 20’s when people regularly planned meetups and we had the flexibility and energy to go out each weekend.
I’m realizing one easy way to get a group of guys together is to plan trivia at a local brewery. Most trivia games are scheduled during the week after the kid’s bedtime, happen regularly at brewerys across town, and anyone can join a team regardless of their trivia talent (aka me).
I did this recently with a group of friends. We had a lot of fun and we had a come-from-behind podium finish — second place! Shout out team, “my wife wants me home by 10” and to the tiebreaker question, Chipper Jones’ jersey number.
Without further ado….
Why Jeb?
Jeb and I probably have many things in common but the most prominent is we have both lived at the same address. I recently met his brother Will and made the connection that Jeb was the former owner of our house. Jeb and Will previously ran their family sales training business and Jeb is now focused on his travel content business. I love the way his passion for travel is present throughout his recommendations. Be like 831,000+ other people and subscribe to his YouTube channel!

Jeb’s 6 Recommendations
Recommendations are written in his own words…
1. Airport Architecture
My favorite newsletter is Edward Russell's "Airport Architecture" substack. It's a (clearly named) mashup of how the architecture of airports impacts the way we travel. He writes about specific airports, history, and the latest news on the topic. If you're looking for a quirky, niche newsletter about a topic most of us think nothing about, look no further!
2. Flighty
Check out "Flighty." It's the most robust flight-tracking app out there. You'll know about delays way before your gate agent. I've only just started using it, but information is power and "Flighty" gives it to you. It allows you to track your aircraft and provides all kinds of useful historical data, too. All that combines to become a useful tool to ensure you know as much as possible before you take off.
3. Elevate App
I enjoy starting my day with a few minutes on the "Elevate" app. My math skills never really moved beyond the fourth grade and my memory is even worse than that. The app has really helped improve those personal flaws. Now, I can even tip without counting on my fingers!
And speaking of the tip, my favorite vice is always ordering the french fries! I love 'em. Onion rings, tater tots, chicken fingers, and cheese curds are top choices, too. It's a good thing we don't have kids...I'm not sure they'd ever get to eat!
4. Professional: Authenticity and Consistency
I'd argue the greatest "secret" to finding success on YouTube is the same "secret" to earning success in pretty much anything. It's twofold: Authenticity and Consistency. First, remain *authentic* to yourself. The best YouTubers are authentic, so are the best professionals. They've (slowly) built an audience of like-minded people who are drawn to them. Authenticity has an added benefit: if you remain true to yourself, it's a whole lot easier to *consistently* do good work, which is clutch to living successfully.
5. Clothes Hanger Hotel Hack
Ever found yourself in a hotel room trying to sleep while the sun's shining bright outside? Look no further than the closet. Use the hangars with clips to seal up the slit between the curtains.
6. Subterra PowerShuttle Electronics Carrying Case
We spend about 50% of our time on the road and I work out of a backpack. Organization is key to ensuring I don't leave anything behind when we're on the move (there's that poor memory again). I highly recommend the Medium-Sized "Subterra PowerShuttle Electronics Carrying Case" by Thule. It's the perfect organizer for wires, dongles, extra storage, an iPad, Kindle, and more. I won't leave home without it!

2024 Holiday Gift Guide — I’m working on this year’s guide. If you would like to contribute please reply to this email - I’d be very grateful.
Anyone who says gifting for their wife is easy…I want to meet you!
P.S. from Rambull — My friend William is helping me with an exciting update to help display past Rambull recommendations (click here). When we were catching up, he shared that his favorite current product is the $19.99 (at time of writing) Cozy Phones. You are not going to win any beauty pageants with these but the functionality for these colder months is pretty cool.
