🛒 Consumer Products Recommendations
Caroline:
Burt’s Bees After Sun Soother (🔗). It turns sunburns into tan. Even horrible burns. It is amazing.
The Mountain T-Shirts (🔗). Ever wanted a unicorn tshirt? Or maybe you’re more into lions, or sloths, or a manatee dressed like a ninja riding a horse sized corgi into the sunset? Well guess what… you’re in luck because this one website legit has every weird t-shirt known to mankind. I know my sister, Leah Brady, loves these T-shirts so I consistently give them to her for all holidays and birthdays and will continue doing so well into our 80s.
Leah:
Wine Access (🔗). An online wine shop with access to lots of NDA wines from top vineyards at a fraction of the cost (particularly Napa Cabs). Good everyday drinking wine that's economical enough to open on a Tuesday night and also tasty enough to serve at a dinner party - win, win.
Pratt Standard Cocktail Company (🔗). Woman-owned cocktail mixer brand out of DC. We've been on the hunt for the perfect no-hassle mixers that aren't too sweet and finally found them. Also would make a great gift.
📲 Digital Product or App Recommendations
Caroline:
Headway app (🔗). Abbreviated versions of books that everyone should read but doesn’t really want to have to read them. Also has audiobooks.
Leah:
Libby (🔗). For all the booklovers out there. Connects your kindle to your local library. Access to thousands of books, audiobooks and magazines for free - including new releases and popular titles that are often left off of kindle unlimited, etc.
2048 (🔗). Have been playing this numbers game since college and it never gets old. If you love puzzles, this one is for you. Bricks2048 is a spin on the original game that I love too.
💪 Habit Recommendations
Caroline:
G-plans (🔗). I lost 6 pounds in 1 week by just following their meal plan which essentially is eating a ton of healthy food. A TON OF FOOD. No working out required. You take a quiz to determine your metabolic rate and then they come up with a meal plan for you.
Leah:
Meal Planning & Nutrition. After having 2 kids in 14 months - everything I knew about nutrition went out the window - finding time to eat was hard enough! I met with Claire Virga at Rooted Wellness (🔗) to get myself back on the right track. Number one takeaway was to meal plan at the beginning of the week. I know it sounds so simple but it's made all the difference in our house. I keep it "organized" using these notepads(🔗).
🧾 Content Recommendations
Caroline:
The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara Series (🔗). If you are looking for another Harry Potter series- this is easy to read and amazing.
Leah:
Podcast - Crime Junkie. About as basic as it gets but I'm a true crime junkie - I'm a patreon member to get the extra episodes... comes out weekly. The Israel Keys episode is WILD.
Podcast - Slow Burn. Really enjoyed Season 1 (Watergate) and Season 2 (Bill Clinton's impeachment). Told as if you are living in that time period which gives the podcast an interesting perspective rather than learning about it retrospectively.
Note - I’ve added Leah’s podcasts recommendations to the Rambull Spotify playlist (🔗) where I compile the best podcast episodes and series. Throw me a 💚 on Spotify.
🍿 TV or Movie Recommendations
Caroline:
Lord of the Rings EXTENDED VERSIONS on Amazon prime. If you have watched lord of the rings regular version you need to go back and watch the extended ones because they are even more epic than the original ones and your head will explode with the amount of awesomeness that was cut out of the original films.
Leah:
I rarely watch TV... when I do, it's almost exclusively documentaries and true crime. Top picks recently are:
Life Below Zero (Disney Plus). Nat Geo series about people who live in the most remote parts of Alaska. Don't think I could do it but added traveling to Alaska to my bucket list.
People Magazine Investigates (Youtube TV or ID Channel). For all the true crime junkies out there. 6 seasons of all the top People Magazine crime stories available to binge
🥉 Honorable Mention
Caroline:
Rambull prompt chosen - “general recommendation”
Aquafor (🔗). Chapped lips slayer.
Leah:
Rambull prompt chosen - "meal everyone should have before they die”
Sichuan Food! The thing I miss the most about living in DC is the ethnic food! This website (🔗) has tons of amazing Asian dishes and is easy to follow. Don't sleep on the Mapo Tofu (🔗) - would 100% be my last meal.
Sichuan Chili Crisp (🔗) - on the same note, have been ordering this in bulk and using it on everything. Delicious!
