📝 Editor’s Note
I’m excited to share not only the Rambull 2024 Holiday Gift Guide but also a new web app powered by Softr and created in collaboration with William Nutt from Nutt Labs.
I’m in the process of adding all 150+ profiles onto the website. It is manual work and I’m starting from most recent and working my way back. Huge thank you to William for his help! If you could use a boost from systemization, automation, or AI, he’s your man.

During this season I wanted to plug a local organization that I’ve been very impressed with their mission — Peacehaven Farm. It was founded to serve adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). This can include people with down syndrome and severe cases of autism.
Peacehaven has several residents that live on their 89 acre property. The group has launched a capital campaign to build a multipurpose community center followed by residential housing, an arts center, outdoor recreation spaces, a multidisciplinary health care clinic for the I/DD population, and expanded farming operations. The key here is a community that serves everyone, together - not just individuals with I/DD out on a farm by themselves.
I’ve been struck by the stories of family’s that do have members with I/DD and how life changing a place like Peacehaven can be for everyone. For those of you who know about the transformational work of HopeWay, I see this group building a similar model and impact. I highly encourage you to check out the website and if so moved, consider supporting Peacehaven’s work.

8 Highlighted Gift Recommendations
Sharing select favorites. After reviewing, check out the guides for a full list of many more gift ideas.
1. Canyon Cooler 35 Quarts | $250
When we went rafting in Idaho, every one of our guides had one of these coolers. I was shocked at how cold our drinks stayed as well as their durability. We’ve been looking for a cooler that we can take on road trips and we think 35 quarts is the perfect size.
2. Shinola Leather Laptop Case | $163
I lug my laptop around a lot. Most of the time it’s just my laptop in my bag. I’ve been eyeing this leather laptop case as a happy medium. I’m a huge fan of the Shinola brand and this price drop is solid given Shinola’s quality. H/T Alexa Hamelin who also recommends this one.
3. Rogue Heroes: The History of the SAS, Britain's Secret Special Forces Unit That Sabotaged the Nazis and Changed the Nature of War | $16
I sometimes forget how an unbelievable story can make a great gift. This book has a 4.35 rating on Goodreads with 12K+ reviews - seriously impressive. I’m biased because I love non-fiction but this is the top book on my to-read list. It was also made into a show. (Linking my Goodreads list for other book ideas).
4. DJI Self Flying Drone | $199
Not another drone gift idea, right? Wrong. It has a 4K UHD Camera and is self-flying, meaning it will follow you. This can create some epic content. If you’ve ever thought about buying a drone as a gift, this is the one.
5. Solo Stove Mesa XL | $79
I’ve always thought Solo Stoves were cool gifts. I like that this one is small enough that you can sit it on a table. This is more our family’s speed and with young kids I can see us using it to roast s’mores.
6. Diamond Heart Hinged Charm | $1,098
A recommendation from my wife. She is a big fan of this brand and hates practical gifts. I’ve painfully learned I need to steer towards jewelry for her.
7. Coley Home Shiitake Mushroom Ottoman | $500+
Coley makes incredible pieces and this one is no different. We have multiple Coley Home pieces in our house and were very pleased with how this one looks.
8. Filson Open Supply Tote | $185
Tote bags might be the new go-to gift this year. My mom loves her tote bag from Williams Sonoma $45. Many great use cases — lugging tailgate supplies to road trips to farmers market. I do love Filson and have one of their dopp kits. However, I’m tempted to upgrade to a new brand on my radar, Artifact out of Omaha and their dopp kit.
Bonus - Kid Gifts:
Bounce House | $250 | I highly recommend this gift after watching how durable it was during a birthday party. The 10 kids on it were going nuts (in a good way).
Fan Tent | $45 | A cool idea for kids that are in the fort-building stage.
Hot Wheels Track | $50 | Our nephews loved their Hot Wheels track last year. Be mindful of set up on some of these gifts but this track is very simple.
Modular Kids Playroom Couch | $110 | Friends of ours have this setup and the kids seem to love it.
