Real people, authentic recommendations.

Rambull Newsletter - I curate the best word-of-mouth recommendations from interesting people. A great way to learn about new people and to discover products, shows, apps, podcasts, and more. Edited by me, Rob.
Wikipedia Rabbit Holes - you get into one and the next thing you know you are learning about the most remote inhabited islands in the world. Yes, there is a wiki-roulette tool. Much more family-friendly than chat-roulette. Here are 5 of my favorite Wikipedia articles:
List of Conspiracy Theories - What is the Denver airport hiding?!
Housekeeping - A few folks have said the emails are going into the promotions tab. Huge favor to me if you click and drag it out of the promotions folder and into the primary folder. Then confirm “yes” for future emails. Thanks!
Let’s dive in…

📍 Charlottesville, V.A.
Founder at Waterbird Spirits
Wilson’s Self-Description:
“Canned cocktail guy, looking for the greenest grass on the block.”
Why I wanted to profile Wilson:
I’m very envious. Wilson gets to live in Charlottesville, Virginia (Go Hoos!) and is a successful entrepreneur that started a canned cocktail company. While we did not overlap, we went to the same high school and college. Therefore, we’ve been through the same highs and lows with some of our sports teams. The idea to profile Wilson came after Tommy Noonan recommended TipTop Cocktails during his profile. However, Wilson’s Waterbird Canned Cocktails may have them beat. Try for yourself! I can’t wait for them to come to North Carolina 👀

📺 Stream
TV Series on the Smithsonian Channel: Aerial America
Awesome series on all 50 states that gives background and history on each state from a helicopter. Well narrated. I think I'm already on my second lap.
🛒 Purchase
Stihl Electric Cordless Leafblower
I love mowing my grass and blowing the leaves, but my neighbors don't love the noise. This blower is powerful but quiet. Also a plus that it's made in VA Beach.
📞 Download
Digital Product: Chess.com
Unlimited free chess with real people. It's a fun way to wind down and relax.

I find it to be uniquely therapeutic and instantly gratifying.

Book: “The Terminal List” by Jack Carr
Read/Listen to "The Terminal List" by Jack Carr. Well written fiction by a former Navy Seal. So good that Amazon Prime is coming out with a TV show later this summer based on the book with Chris Pratt.
🥉 Honorable Mention
Go Puff - The best delivery app that can deliver anything in less than 20 minutes from canned cocktails to paper towels to shampoo.

TV Show: We Own This City (HBOMax)
Did you love The Wire? Great, you will no doubt love “We Own This City”.
What is The Wire? Go watch it now. Seriously, watch it as soon as you can.
Both shows are on HBO and centered on crime in Baltimore. We Own This City comes from the same producers as The Wire. It has incredible acting and based-on-a-true-story, storylines that made me rip through the first two episodes on a school night. Sad that there is just one season for now.
Family Traditions - a few of the favorites submitted
Drink of the Day - For our family beach trip, we have a drink of the day every night once the kids are asleep. Couples or individuals sign up for their day and signature cocktail in advance, bring the ingredients, and bartend for that night. It leads to new drinks, spreads the work out amongst the family and often leads to too much fun! - Amanda P.
Whitey Tighties - We had a tradition for a while with our cousins and grandmother that somebody had to wear a pair of whitey tighties on their head during Christmas Eve cocktails. - Stuart B.
Wine Snobs - Around Christmas eve my dad sets up a wine taste test for our extended family. The winner gets fifty dollars. I always get $50 because I know where my dad keeps the cheat sheet. - Frances R.
Amazing Race - Christmas morning we have a barefoot race around the house. The finishing order determines the order for opening presents. - John D.
Just Say Yes - Growing up we would have a “Yes” weekend. Our dad would say “yes” to whatever we wanted. Ice cream for breakfast? Yes. Poptarts for dinner? Yes. Speed-cubing for hours? Yes. - Harrison S.
The Olympics - Coming from a big family, anytime we are all congregated we do a day-long family Olympics (Team Gaga vs. Team O'Pappy) complete with a torchlight parade and opening ceremony. The competitions range from bobbing for apples to relay races, sandcastle building, cheerio eating, and scavenger hunts. The last event is always either a game of Celebrity or Trivial Pursuit! - Mica M.
POTATO🥔 - If a member of the family has to take a test, they make sure to bring a single, uncooked potato. This became a family tradition when our grandpa found an uncooked potato in his pocket after acing his driving test. While not a particularly superstitious family otherwise, The Potato has proven itself indispensable. - Schnitzli (From Reddit, I knew Reddit would not fail me)
